Jason was 17 years old the first time he walked through the doors of Southern Arizona Endodontics. As a young man considering the dental profession, a dentist friend had referred him there to observe a root canal being performed. What impressed Jason the most weren’t the root canals themselves, but rather the atmosphere of the office: “I was intrigued by how the doctors treated their patients – it was very different from most other offices. They went out of their way to make people comfortable. I was struck with what a cool place it would be to work – and knew if I ever had the opportunity to come back, I would take advantage of it.”
Having an anesthesiologist, a nurse, a dermatologist and a radiologist in his immediate family, it’s not surprising he would be inclined toward the medical profession. Jason graduated from Salpointe Catholic High in Tucson, and then attended University of Arizona, where he played baseball for the Arizona Wildcats for four years. When he decided on Boston University for his dental training, it was John Hughes, founder of Southern Arizona Endodontics, who wrote his letter of recommendation.
