Joseph S. Uhm

Joseph Uhm, a dedicated and skilled dentist, grew up in Southern California, where his love for sports and interest in medicine began. As a child, Joseph enjoyed playing baseball and tennis, embracing the active outdoor lifestyle of his home state. These experiences helped him develop a strong work ethic and teamwork skills, which have been invaluable in his dental career.

Joseph’s journey into dentistry started in high school, inspired by a mentor who was a respected local dentist. This mentor saw Joseph’s potential and invited him to spend his summer vacations working in the dental office. Joseph was fascinated by the combination of technical skill and personal connection in dentistry. He admired how patients were treated like family, a philosophy that deeply resonated with him and guided his career choice.

Joseph pursued his dental degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he excelled academically. He continued his education with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in Santa Barbara, where he honed his clinical skills and expanded his dental knowledge.

To further specialize, Joseph completed an Endodontics Residency at Loma Linda University. This advanced training provided him with expertise in root canal therapy and endodontic procedures, allowing him to focus on preserving natural teeth and enhancing patient care.

Outside of his professional life, Joseph is passionate about maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle. He enjoys surfing the California coast, playing golf, and engaging in pickleball with friends. These hobbies not only offer relaxation and enjoyment but also reflect Joseph’s vibrant approach to life.
